Xubuntu for IBM Thinkpad 600 a Real Pain

May 11, 2008 / by powix

I take my other blog entry back. Xubuntu is a real pain for IBM Thinkpad 600. When I insert the wifi-card, the machine freezes. It was working in the beginning, but I can't use the wifi-card anymore. Without wifi-card, the laptop is useless.

Wifi card freezes. And this is the old wifi-card. The other does not work at all.

Sound not working.

The Ubuntu forum has a thread only about Thinkpad 600. Ubuntu has a very good forum, but I don't want to waste hours or days to have a working wifi-card.

Windows XP was working without problems during 2 years. It was slow, but at least it worked.
